Justin C. Greeley
Memorial Scholarship

JMB is proud to announce that we are expanding our mandate and wish to introduce the Justin C. Greeley Memorial Scholarship.

The Justin C. Greeley Memorial Scholarship was created in honor of this Ascension Collegiate Alumni who tragically passed in 2024 and is available to graduates of his alma mater. This award honors both Justin's memory and values of hard work, community involvement, determination, and empowerment. The scholarship goes to a first year post secondary student who has had to overcome challenges in their life, is active in their community, displays a keen, well-rounded, intellect, and is pursuing a career in the performing arts.

The inaugural scholarship will be presented to the worthy recipient during Ascension Collegiate's awards ceremony on Dec. 18, 2024.

We are honoured to be able to fulfill this wish of Justin's. We knew we could eventually do it but to be able to offer this scholarship in our first year is humbling and overwhelming in the most beautiful way.

Long Pond Trail

If you are in the Town Of Bay Bulls area, you’ll definitely want to take an hour to walk the newly opened trail at Long Pond

In conjunction with the town, numerous birdhouses and a beautiful sign highlighting Justin and JMB have been added to the trail for all to enjoy in Justin's honour.

An exerpt from a post shared by the town says "Justin was a proud resident of Bay Bulls for the past 12 years.  He loved this community, he loved animals, he loved music, he loved adventures, and most of all he loved his wife, Aimee." These bird houses reflect all the things that Justin loved!  They continue" Justin was also a fellow municipal employee serving as Project Manager and Development Officer with the Town of Logy Bay-Middle Cove-Outer Cove.  Town staff got to know Justin not only as a community member but as a valued colleague in the municipal sector.

Justin will be dearly missed by all that knew him.

The birdhouses are a great addition to the trail and will be loved by kids and adults alike for years to come. Special thanks to Jim Flight for constructing the bird houses.

Thank you to the town staff and council members for working with us on this idea and supporting us wholeheartedly. What started as a "we should do something in the town for Justin" turned into something people can enjoy for years and years. Something Justin would support 1000%!
